Welcome
Corpus Christi School continues to excel in its mission to form and nurture its students and families in an atmosphere of academic excellence and vision. In 2009 Corpus Christi was awarded the Department of Education's highest honor and named a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence for scoring in the top 10% of all Virginia schools on standardized tests;

In November 2007, our school achieved its five-year re-accreditation with flying colors. Our Annual Report features student artwork that highlighted our self-evaluation document for re-accreditation.
  • You can download and read about our remarkable school in our 2008/2009 Annual Report by clicking here.

Some of our outstanding academic achievements were:
  • All of our graduates who applied were accepted into regional Catholic high schools, and 18 were designated Presidential Academic Excellence Award winners;
  • Our students scored an average of 20-30 percent higher on standardized tests than local public school students;
  • An average of 90 students each quarter at Corpus Christi School achieved honor roll status;
  • Among our graduated students attending Catholic high schools:
  • At Bishop Ireton High School, nine of the 10 Junior year alumni from Corpus Christi were selected for membership in the National Honor Society;
  • At Bishop O'Connell High School, 50 Corpus Christi graduates in grades 9-12 received honors, and three of the seven Juniors selected to attend the prestigious 2008 Summer Residential
    Governor's Schools were Corpus Christi graduates;
  • 32 students successfully completed the Kindergarten curriculum and the first of the now annual Grandparents' Days were begun;
  • ACTIVboard Lesson Plans by our fourth grade math and science teacher, Mrs. Sharon Miller, have been utilized worldwide by teachers over the website for the interactive white board community.

Making a Difference in our Community
As an integral part of our Catholic faith, students learn about the principals of the Catholic Faith and to help those less fortunate. With the incorporation of our Virtues Program, students are encouraged to understand and practice the values of respect, generosity, empathy, and compassion through helping others. Our community service projects included:
  • Denim Tag Day for breast cancer research
  • Over 350 toys collected for Toys for Tots
  • Student Council Tag Days for various charities
  • Annandale Christian Community for Action
  • (ACCA) food drive for Thanksgiving
  • Landscaping the church and school grounds
  • Hand-made and stuffed Christmas stockings for
  • our military men and women serving overseas
  • The Leukemia Society's "Pennies for Patients"
  • Special collections for our sister school in Haiti
  • American Heart Association's "Jump Rope for Heart"
  • Harvest Bake Sale for So Others Might Eat (SOME)
  • Mini walk for the homeless

Why you should consider giving
Oftentimes, people ask how their contributions will benefit Corpus Christi School and its students. Below we have described how some past contributions have helped our school. Only through additional financial support beyond tuition revenue can we guarantee that Corpus Christi's needs and priorities will be fulfilled, and the stability of our student body ensured.

The generous support of our PTO, families, alumni, and other supporters generated our third-source revenue. These additional funds enabled the school to obtain items that we would not have been able to afford. We were able to purchase additional ACTIVboards, new computers for the school's computer lab, special Kurzweil 3000 software to enhance the reading skills of our students, new science textbooks, provide additional tuition assistance to families and cover general operating expenses.

You can donate online easily and securely using your credit card, your Pay Pal account, or a check. Please click here to read more.
