Inclement Weather Policy

If Fairfax County Schools close for the entire day, then school and extended day will be closed also.

Corpus Christi School follows the Fairfax County School system on decisions made due to inclement weather including school closings, delayed openings, early closings, and cancellation of after school/evening activities. All decisions should be made by 6:00 am for closings and delayed openings. For early dismissals, Fairfax County generally makes a decision by 10:30 am. Most television and radio stations will announce Fairfax County School closings and delays.

Parents need to listen to local television/radio stations for closings/delayed openings. Parents will NOT be notified by the school if closings occur before or after school hours. The school-wide notification system and WTOP Radio will be used to notify families under TWO circumstances:
  • Changes in school closings occur during school hours
  • If we have a closing/delay different from Fairfax County due to unusual circumstances

When parents are notified by the school-wide notification system, they will be contacted by the following methods: home phone, parents' work/cell phones, family email, and parents' emails. Please do not call the school.

When possible, information will also be available on the school website as soon as possible.

    Flynn and O'Hara is our designated partner for school uniforms. They are located in Fairfax, Virginia. Their website is www.flynnohara.com.

    Note that PE uniforms are purchased through the school during the first two weeks of school. Students will be fitted and receive their warm weather PE uniform after Labor Day. The sweats will be delivered in late October/early November.
